Will You Be MY Wife, the Tokita Yasushi's REMIX
(Timothy Harada ティムハラダ)
Tokita Yasushi did an incredible remix, it almost sounds like a new song. Listen to both rersions and see which is better.
This is the song Timothy wrote before asking his wife to marry him. He presented it to her on his engagement day, 8/8/2004, along with his first Japanese song, Isho ni Narou Yo, which is a Japanese translation of the lyrics to this song. Two years later, he finally got around to recording it for the NHK song competition in Miyagi prefecture. It was recorded with Richie Gill on guitar and backing vocals, Mi Sato on percussion and Timothy on piano and lead vocals. It was all done in about 6 hours. Most tracks were first takes. The contest stipulations require the song to be under 4 minutes. It just made it, coming in at 3 minutes and 50 seconds. If only they had more time and money to make it more professional. But for now, this is what they will send to the NHK song writer's competition. Let's hope for the best.
Will you be my wife?
I see into the future, when I gaze into your eyes.
A million thoughts cascade around me, as I’m laying by your side.
Then when we come together, our energies ignite.
Bursting forth in brilliant flames-a kaleidoscope of light.
At this time; in this place, we’re so lucky to be alive
This time may never come again, so will you be my wife?
Will you be my wife?
The children we raise together, will carry on our dreams-
A future world of harmony, where people live in peace.
At this time; in this place, we’re so lucky to be alive
This time may never come again, so will you be my wife?
Will you be my wife?
When you’re near, I have no fear. Our love, it will survive.
The time has come to be as one, so will you be my wife?
Will you be my wife?
